Russian Jam - a play by an outstanding writer, Booker Prize winner Liudmila Ulitskaya. This is a witty, ironic and dramatic story, written in the genre of variations on Chekhov’s plays, about contemporary Russian intelligentsia, their desperate and sometimes comic attempts to link traditional values and traditional way of life with tough demands of the epoch of business. The characters of the play represent all social and age groups of Russian contemporary society and yet it is not difficult to recognize Chekhov’s heroes in them.
